Description

Add a splash of color to your home orchard with this red Bartlett pear tree. Disease resistant, it grows in full Sun or part shade in fall and spring. This self-pollinating fruit tree ships at a height between 2 ft. and 4 ft. and the pears are ready to eat when they reach their signature scarlet flush color.

The Red Bartlett Pear Tree has an early harvest season and is a very vigorous easy to grow tree. The fruit is medium to large in size with a red skin. The fruit is sweet and tender and perfect for fresh eating and canning. The fruit ripens without cold storage.

Latin Name: Pyrus communis
Site and Soil: European Pears like full to 1/2 day sun and well-drained soil.
Rootstock Description: A dwarfing rootstock for European Pears, OHxF 513 produces trees 10-12 ft. in height.
Pollination Requirements: European Pears need another variety nearby for cross-pollination. Our Asian Pear varieties can also be used as pollinators.
Hardiness: Hardy to minus 25°F. or below.
Bearing Age: 2-3 years after planting.
