Croton Captain Kidd is a decorative tropical plant with lush leathery, multi-colored foliage splashed with vibrant greens, yellow and red when planted in warm frost-free areas. Captain Kidd enjoys a sheltered patio or indoor position which makes a wonderful specimen plant for a feature pot.

Also, great planted in the garden in a semi-shaded, well-drained position. Keep soil moist in summer & slightly dryer in winter. Croton Captain Kidd will grow to a height of 1-1.5m high and a width of 1m.Croton is typically offered as an indoor plant, but can also be used outdoors as a seasonal accent plant in containers or plantings of annuals or mixed ornamentals.

Planting And Care

• Croton likes bright sunlight but benefits from partial or filtered shade during hot summer afternoons. Too much sunlight bleaches the colors in the leaves.
• Water croton until water trickles through the drainage hole when the top of the soil feels dry, and then allow the pot to drain freely.
• Croton is a light feeder that benefits from a monthly fertilization schedule. Use an organic fertilizer.
• Re-pot indoor crotons every two years to encourage healthy growth.
